The City of Nashville owns and operates the water and sewer system.
WATER SYSTEM: The water system is supplied water by Mine Creek and the Little Missouri River.
The City owns a 40 acre lake known as Nichols Reservoir and a 113 acre
lake known as Lake Louie Graves. The primary water source is Mine Creek
which runs through the City. The Little Missouri River
is twelve miles away and acts as a standby water supply source. The
City has three (3) ground storage tanks, three (3) elevated and two (2)
standpipe storage tanks with a combined storage capacity of 1,300,000
gallons. The City has a standard surface water treatment plant with a
capacity of 6,000,000 gallons per day.
